  1. Try understand your topic
    1. Type your topic into Google. Read or skim several (4-5) sites. What do you notice? What do they have in common?
    2. Talk to others in your group. What did each of you learn? Put your ideas together.
  2. As a group, identify your main points:
    1. What is the problem you want to solve?
    2. What information will your audience need to understand the problem?
    3. What do you want the audience to do about the problem?
  3. Research and gather any information you need to support your main points.
  4. Begin planning your project.
    1. What are the most effective ways you can: 
      1. engage your audience? 
      2. communicate your ideas to them?
    2. What resources will you need?
    3. How will you organize your project?
      1. Structure: Intro, Body, Conclusion (talk to Deb) 
      2. Argument/Persuasion: 
        1. Claim, 
        2. reasons, 
        3. evidence (ethos, logos, pathos) 
  5. Create your project
  6. Get feedback and refine it.
  7. Present
